Government Shutdown Assistance- January 22, 2019
At Citizens Bank, we understand that the federal government shutdown is creating financial hardships for our customers and friends. Therefore, we’ve created an assistance program for government employees and contractors.
To our customers who currently have loans with us, and who have not been paid due to the shutdown, please contact your lender to arrange a free extension of your monthly payment.
To qualified federal employees or contractors residing in our primary service areas who have not been paid due to the shutdown, Citizens Bank will provide loans at 0% interest for up to 45 days. Small processing fees applicable. Normal credit qualifications apply. Contact any of our offices and provide the following to obtain a loan to assist until your back pay is received:
- Your federal employee or contractor ID card
- A recent pay stub indicating the amount of your normal net pay
- A pay stub indicating that you have not been paid during the shutdown
