G. Mike Odom, Jr. President & Chief Executive Officer
A native of Jesup, Ga., Odom serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Great Oaks Bank and Chairman, President and CEO of Great Oaks Financial Holdings, Inc. Over his 40-year banking career, he has served in executive management roles in several coastal Georgia banks. He has also been a consultant to community banks, advising on various capital management, compensation and profitability strategies, and previously facilitated a series of banker roundtables sponsored by the Georgia Bankers Association. He joined Great Oaks’ predecessor bank in 2007 as an advisor and director and became CEO in 2015.
Odom holds a BBA in Accounting from Georgia Southern University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University. He and his wife Mary reside in Richmond Hill, Ga., and are members of Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church, Savannah, and The Ford Field and River Club, Richmond Hill. He is an active member and previous director of the Georgia Bankers Association, previously served on the state and national boards of Coastal Conservation Association, and serves as a director of Stuckey Timberland, Inc. and Mingledorff’s, Inc. He is an avid upland bird hunter, fisherman, and boater, and enjoys exploring the barrier islands of Georgia and UGA football.
